To all my loyal clients, who are so tech- savvy, I’ve finally decided to come kicking and screaming into the 21st Century by starting a blog, which will take the place of Access Auto’s Motor Mouth newsletter.
My purpose with this blog is to keep you updated with anything new that can save you money, time or hassle with cars, or anything else I find that I think is worth letting you know about, and to give you a forum from which to let me know about anything you think would be of value to myself or anyone else. I want you to know, right up front that if you need to reach me the old fashioned way, I love that, and my phone number is 800-763-9227. That’s the number that will probably be engraved on my tombstone, and my daughter, Andrea, has assured me she’ll make sure my cell phone will be in the casket.
All that said, the latest news I have to report is that the car biz is taking off. I’ve been through several recessions since I’ve been in this business, and the one thing that I’ve seen time and again is that when the car business picks up, everything starts to pick up. It’s a combination of both optimism returning and people having the means to do something about it.
What is remarkable about it this time is that people are being more responsible about it. Whether that means getting a good used car, a smaller SUV, taking a step down from the luxury class, or insisting on a “greener” alternative than they had in the past, it’s all good. I’ve never pushed people to buy luxury. I’m too practical for that. In fact, on many occasions, I’ve talked people into keeping the car they have for a new more years.
Let me know how you approach the purchase of big ticket items now and how that’s changed in the last couple of years.
Since this is my first post, I’ll keep it short, and work on foo-foo things like appearance, etc. for the next one.

I cannot say enough for how Linda worked with me in obtaining a previously owned 2007 Honda Odyssey. If purchasing of automobiles could be like this all of the time, who needs dealers (just kidding). I am grateful to Linda for the way she handled things and was spot on when it came to getting answers to inquiries.
